The Human Embryo: A Living Reflection of Manifestinction
Every life begins with a spark—a transformation so small and silent that its enormity is often missed. Within the human embryo, this spark carries the memory of all existence. The earliest stages of life are not just beginnings; they are echoes, a connection to forces that shaped the seas, forged the continents, and scattered stars across the cosmos. In the embryo, the vast becomes intimate, and the distant becomes personal.
This is no ordinary beginning. The embryo is a microcosm of Manifestinction, a testament to the interconnectedness of all creation. Its silent transformations embody the principles that guide the universe itself: This and That, where dualities meet to create something new; Evosolution, where memory and potential merge to shape the future; and the guiding rhythms of Earth, whose intent nurtures and sustains life.
The story of the human embryo is the story of all life—of memory, creation, and the continuous unfolding of consciousness. From the particles that form galaxies to the cells that divide in the womb, all of existence moves to the same rhythm: one of integration, connection, and transformation.
The Memory of Creation Written in the Embryo
Look closely at the human embryo, and you will see the traces of a shared past. A tail forms, only to fade. Gills appear, only to transform. These are not relics of an evolutionary past but living echoes of an interconnected journey—a journey that stretches back billions of years. In its earliest moments, the embryo carries the story of life itself.
This is the essence of Evosolution. Unlike the survival-driven concept of evolution, Evosolution reveals a process of conscious emergence. Each stage of the embryo’s growth integrates the memory of what has been, building upon it to create something new. The tail is a reminder of ancient seas, the gills a nod to a time when water was life’s cradle. These transformations are not discarded but absorbed, woven into the structure of what will become human.
The embryo is not an isolated entity. It is a bridge, carrying forward the contributions of every being that came before. Its form, fleeting and ever-changing, is a reflection of Manifestinction’s greatest truth: that all life is interconnected, each part contributing to the whole.
Earth: The Nurturer of Life’s Memory
The embryo does not grow alone. Its journey unfolds within the nurturing embrace of Earth, a conscious entity whose rhythms guide the unfolding of life. Earth herself carries the memory of her transformations: from molten beginnings to a thriving biosphere, from barren landscapes to lush forests teeming with life.
Earth’s role is purposeful. She is an active participant in Evosolution, shaping life through cycles of creation and destruction. The soil that cradles seeds, the tides that guide migration, and the seasons that shape growth are not random—they are expressions of Earth’s conscious intent. These rhythms nurture the embryo, linking its growth to the cycles of the planet.
In the embryo, Earth’s function is revealed: to integrate memory into creation, to build upon the past, guiding future awareness. Just as the embryo carries the story of life within its cells, Earth carries the story of her ecosystems, her seasons, and her transformations. Together, they reflect the same process: the unfolding of life through the interplay of memory and potential.
The Cosmic Blueprint
The human embryo is not just a reflection of Earth; it is a reflection of the cosmos itself. The forces that guide its growth are the same forces that shape galaxies and scatter stars. The spiral of a shell mirrors the swirl of a galaxy; the branching veins of a leaf echo the pathways of rivers and lightning. These patterns, found across every scale of existence, are the language of creation.
Life is not random. It is guided by This and That—the meeting of possibilities that creates something entirely new. The embryo’s transformation mirrors the principles that govern the universe: integration, emergence, and continuous creation. It shows us that the smallest flicker of life contains the blueprint of the cosmos, linking the human to the infinite.
The Embryo’s Call to Humanity
The embryo, in its silent evolution, carries a profound message for humanity. It reminds us that we are not separate from the story of life but deeply embedded within it. Every stage of its growth reflects the contributions of the forms that came before it, from the simplest organisms to the most complex beings. It asks us to see ourselves not as the pinnacle of creation but as participants in its unfolding.
As humanity, we carry the responsibility of memory. The tailbone we possess is more than an evolutionary quirk; it is a symbol of unity, a reminder of the shared journey that brought us here. The embryo calls us to honor this memory—not as a relic of the past, but as a foundation for the future.
Through Manifestinction, we are invited to align with this journey. To recognize that life is not a solitary act but a collective effort. To embrace the principles of interconnectedness, memory, and intentional creation. The embryo’s transformations are a call to co-create the next stage of consciousness, to build upon the memory of what has been to shape what will be.
Why I’m Grateful: Our Living History
I wish to acknowledge the following, without whose nurturing the ideas above would never have come to life:
George J. L. Wulff, MD (OB/GYN), AMA national leader and my second father, whose kind and gentle encouragement to "let my light shine" continues to resonate in my art and my efforts to share the myth of Manifestinction.
And of course, the father I lost, James Auer—an insightful architect and avid outdoorsman, whose inspiration to seek adventure and see beyond structural impediments - into the very heart of nature itself - has guided my life in profound and fearless ways.
Yet, as fortunate as I was to have such exemplary men inspire me, none of us would ever flourish without the strong presence of the woman we all loved, patiently supporting us in the background: Mary Evalyn Campbell Auer Wulff, my mom.
The daughter of world-renowned spiritual leader and author James Alexander Campbell and his wife Luna Mae, herself an exceptional artist, Mary Evalyn (M.E.) became an accomplished sculptor in both clay and steel. Her steady hand shaped not only her art but all she touched, especially through the artistry and spirituality she brought to the table. With good food, fine wine, and a natural gift for gathering family and guests, she created moments that nurtured both body and soul, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. Her unselfish presence and quiet strength nurtured me in ways I only now fully appreciate.
